What is this? Sometimes two of the "go" are stuck together! Instead of "go go go go go..." it is "go go go go gogo, go go go go gogo..."! An enemy stand must also be distorting the tension in the air somehow!

* CL3 can't help but strike a pose due to all the ゴゴゴゴゴゴゴ

... Fabulous ...

Phwew we are barely out of part 4 and I already can't wait for part 5 to be animated (hard to expect until at least a year tough...)

I don't think I'd have changed anything to DiU this level of quality so consistent from season to season is quite rare.

I can't get the incredible ost out of my head! So many great tracks! I can't find it online outside of youtube. would anyone have a link for it? Most of my usual spots for ost have long since dried out.
Wait, what?

Here's a good chunk of it (but sadly not all of it).

Looks like it has potential, but not keeping my hopes up too high.

Who the fuck is the lame old dude in the white hat at about 0:19? Is that supposed to be Kujo Motherfucking Jotaro? Just that last time I checked he was about 5240% cooler than this.

I suppose they'd rather go with a good actor rather than some random dude on steroids.

And here I was thinking Jotaro was just a dude on steroids who says "yare yare da ze" a lot, requiring hardly any acting.  :face-rolleyes

Kishibe Rohan wa Ugokanai comes out next week. Are Some-Stuffs going to try to get a source and sub it?

On an unrelated note, for Fadeout who probably knows a lot already, or anyone else who cares enough to research this, I have a question:

What are some of the most historically recent music references in Jojo? There's loads of references to 70s and 80s English pop in the anime so far, but that's largely because the manga up to Part 4 was being written in, at latest, the early 90s. As the story moves on into later parts, do music references to 90s, 2000s and later show up, or is the mangaka a 70s/80s purist and rarely if ever refers to more modern stuff? What is the most modern music to be referenced? Was anything referenced in any part of Jojo ever fairly contemporaneous with the manga (e.g. Part 4 in 1994 (?) referencing something released in 1993/4 or very close etc)?

Off of the top of my head, the most recent reference is a 2010 song in Part 8. I'm not going to go into details for spoilers, but it looks like Araki wanted a stand naming theme for a group of people, and he ran out of references to fit the theme.

Otherwise, Araki does have a few from the early 2000s, but it's still mostly the oldies.

As for the OVA, Fadey said they'd work on it, but I'd still like to hear it again from him. Or Toni.

The most recent musical reference I can think of is a Stand in Part 8 named:
(click to show/hide)

Other than that, there are a lot of 90s references in some of the later Parts, but even in Part 8 a lot of the references are from older music. There really isn't any rhyme or reason to how Araki picks his references.

As for the Rohan special, we plan on subbing it if we get a source. It's a DVD that's only given out to anyone that purchases all of the Part 4 Blurays, so we're not exactly sure how readily available a source will be.
