Pornomonogatari

Every other time I look at Sankaku there seems to be a screenshot gallery of the perverted scenes of each week's episode.

Even the one asking "where did all the ero go" seems to show a lot of blatant fanservice

How do people go on about this being some sophisticated anime again? From everything I've seen and heard of it, it looks like yet another cheap thrill anime which gets rabid fanboys who defend it to the death even though it it throws ecchispam in your face as subtly as a brick.

I finally took away the shrink wrap on Broken Blade - The Complete Film Series on BluRay that I imported some months ago. I watched the first movie out of the six and quite honestly.. I was pleasantly surprised. I'm very sure after seeing the first movie that this is one of those movie series that goes unnoticed despite being very good and better than the majority.

It's far from epic or outstanding, but I had a very good watch. I'm happy with my purchase so far and hope the rest of the movies will be just as good.

Anyway, regarding Nisemonogatari, I know I have talked about this before but I just wanted to say one thing. The reason why I wrote a bit more aggressively than I should have is simply this - animated figures are people in many countries these days including mine, and porn with lolis is obviously illegal. It's because a lot of people over exaggerate and basically say that everything is porn that made me even be afraid at one point in time that an obvious school comedy like School Rumble could be considered porn because of one humorous scene.

It's basically that which I dislike - I'm not saying that Nisemonogatari is entirely innocent, but just like the vast majority of ecchi series - there is actual content. You don't have to be a pervert to watch those series. It will almost certainly make it more enjoyable, but again - there are a lot of normal people watching them as well.

All this being said... none of you really said it was porn, so I'm over exaggerating a lot. But things like Pornomonogatari goes a bit too far imho.

ANYWAY.. moving on.. I just wanted to say I've seen all available episodes of PoT2. I don't think that much of it. It's alright, far from the best thing I've ever done but hey, a lot of games and series are like that and I'm not complaining. It's decent enough to warrant a watch.

Anyone who watches monogatari and expects ecchi will be disappointed.

If you want to see some ecchi, High School DxD isn't bad.  Or I should say it is better than what has come out recently.
Relax, I'm here to help.

Franchise based on nothing but stupid fanboyism of a single character design and nothing of substance? Awful? NEVER!

I took the initiative of predicting how bad it would be and not watching it at all. Well, I saw the OVA, which was absolutely terrible anyway.

Figured I could stick with it since it's only 8 episodes, but good lord, this sucks

I really liked Broken Blade. I liked the premise and the characters and the mecha xD. My only complaint would be the pacing. They stuffed way too much into those movies, which detracts a bit. But hey, Kokia for OP makes everything better  :face-rofl

No, the UTW batch was just v2s with an extended version of Episode 11, because the original TV airing had to be cut short - it couldn't be compressed into a normal half-hour timeslot even with the opening removed.

The blurays come out on the 7th of March. They will have uncut versions of all the episodes, with censorship on the excessively gory scenes (child murder and etc) lifted and maybe some bonus material. I think there's an extra episode or short scene or something written by Nasu in there somewhere too. Hopefully they'll fix up some of the derpy animation too, since they spent so much of the budget on Episode 11's IONIAN HETAIROI scene that the rest of the episode suffered a little bit.

If you wanna spend $500 on the Blurays, be my guest.
Otherwise wait for the UTW BD releases.

I don't think any sane person will pay $500 for 13 episodes of anime. As FUCKING GODLY F/Z is, I'm not paying fucking $40 per episode to own it. I'd gladly pay 3-4 times the normal price of anime over here for it, since I like it so much, but not fucking FIFTEEN TIMES the usual price I buy a series at. Even if I did have that kind of money just lying around, I wouldn't spend that much on one season of animu.

A couple of parts of Episode 11 were a bit derpy. Saber and Waver in particular, had really weird animation at parts. For the most part the animation quality was better than most movies, but Episode 11 had one or two rushed parts.

I don't care what people say.. at that price it's not available to anyone but the most fanatical. They really ought to fix that. If it was even remotely reasonable, say.. perhaps at most, 10$ an episode - I might have bought it. As much as we here love it.. I don't think anyone would pay 500$ which doesn't even include custom, shipping etc.

On a better note, it's available on Crunchyroll.. the bad news is that unless you live in countries such as USA, Canada, UK or Australia it's not available for you. I just hope they won't be forced to remove it soon after it finishes airing due to licensing rights etc.

Heck, as it is now.. the best and probably cheapest way to watch it legally if you don't live in those countries would be the following: buy a plane ticket, sign up for a month on Crunchyroll and marathon it all all in a country in which it is available, and then fly back home. Although.. something like an anime club would probably be the best way. That way you could split the cost.

None of them are really that reasonable though.

ANYWAY.. enough of that. I've watched a couple of more episodes of Nisemonogatari and I quite honestly don't really know what to say. It's alright, nothing more right now. It does feel similar to Bakemonogatari, but at the same time it does not.. I'd say this one has more fanservice in terms of wording etc. Right now it's a step or two below the previous season. Honestly, I'm disappointed. It does not give me the same feelings as when I watched Bakemonogatari, but that might just be because of all the fuss and so on. The story is surely but slowly developing more and more.

I'm not certain what I want to do now at all. I don't want to watch any more ongoing series, I already have Naruto, OP, PoT2 and now Nisemonogatari... and I still have a lot of visual novels to go through, not to mention games and korean variety shows. I think my plan for now is to finish Broken Blade, which is quite honestly great, and catch up on Nisemonogatari. I'll put some time into visual novels as well. But more than that.. I think I'm going to focus on variety shows again. I just have so much I want to experience, and there's a ton left in that field.
