Health is one thing, and we should take care of it. But working out takes much more dedication than that. And it simply means you sacrifice time you could spend doing something else. I find it hard to believe that your mental health can be improved by spending hours and hours of your life repeating obsessively the exact same movements instead of, say, having fun with your friends or reading a book, or even just playing a team sport.

So you want THIS   :face-dizzy?

Just having a normal life with moderate physical activity and a decent diet is enough to be healthy. If you wanna spend hours and hours going beyond that for aesthetics then good luck I guess. Vanity isn't such a bad thing unless it becomes obsessive.

The thing is, most people don't spend enough time doing some exercises when their regular life doesn't give them enough movement.
Hence a big majority of the people walking on this pathetic mud-ball are obese. That's what I was talking about.

I have a pretty good looking body. But a ''pornstar body'' doesn't say anything because there is also porn of overly skinny girls and obese wales mounting men.

The thing is, most people don't spend enough time doing some exercises when their regular life doesn't give them enough movement.

Exactly, so more people should do just that, not go and work out for hours a day. Incorporating physical activity into everyday life is probably more healthy than just gym work. Walking/cycling to school/work/etc instead of driving, cooking instead of eating takeout, lots and lots of sex, etc. Just generally doing things in everyday life that do involve moving around instead of succumbing to laziness. Going out of your way to train in a gym is both time-inefficient and probably less beneficial for most peoples' purposes. Other than people who play sports at a competitive level, people who need high fitness for their job, etc, most people are either too unfit, or take their fitness training further than they can even make use of. What's the point of having a ripped six-pack if you just sit behind a desk all day, other than vanity? And when it comes to aesthetics, that's just a choice, not a practical use.

We aren't allowed stoves etc. in our hostel rooms, we have to eat at the college mess, which i guess is the equivalent.
At best, we get kettles for instant noodles (as bad) or tea/coffee etc.

I wish the whole world would realise that general meaning is more important than one specific example. Straw-man attacks just make you look desperate, not correct or justified in your opposition.  :face-normal

And while this kind of does relate to a post a little bit up in this thread it's not what brought it on.

Hahaha... No. Even in the most overweight country obesity rates don't exceed 1/3. And that's not taking into account some of the most populace countries in the world, like India or China, where hunger is still a big issue.
